Letter Writing (formal) When was the last time you received a letter in the mail? Not in your email box, but your mailbox –, the one attached to the outside of your house? And, come to think of it, there are probably tens of millions of young people who have never gotten much more than a manufactured birthday card in the mail – and never will. |
Today we resort to email, tweets, texts and social media posts to deliver our love letters, diatribes, happy and sad announcements to our loved-ones and friends. The young people, prbably don't even know how to write letters. But, is it realy ok not to know how to write a letter?

The structure of a formal letter.
*this structure may be a little different from the video,but in this way is correct in R.Moldova | 1.Your address. It should be placed in the top rigth corner. eg. Mihai Eminescu Street, 15 Stefan Voda, city Republic of Moldova 2. The date. eg. September 8, 2015 3. Inside address: here you write the name and addres of the person/company you are writing to. eg. The Secretary PITL" Stefan Voda" Libertăţii Street, 8 Stefan Voda,city 4. Greeting or Salutation •The most common salutation in an informal letter is “Dear….” •Note that it is followed by a comma. It can be formed of 3/4 paragraphs.Be concise and relevant.Get straight to the point and stick to it, don’t include any unnecessary or supplementary information, don’t use any flowery language or long words just for the sake of it, and don’t repeat too much information which may already be included in a CV, for example.You should always be polite and respectful, even if complaining.
